Michael Esquibel Arts & Heart Scholarship

The Michael Esquibel Arts & Heart Scholarship supports St. Michael’s High School graduates who demonstrate exceptional talent, passion, and dedication in the visual or performing arts — including music, dance, theatre, or visual arts.

This scholarship reflects Michael’s love for creativity and his belief that the arts inspire connection, self-expression, and resilience.

Award Amount: $1,000 – $2,500 (based on available funding)

Number of Awards: Varies annually

Eligibility:

- Open to graduates of St. Michael’s High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico who are pursuing a degree or further education in the visual or performing arts.

- Must demonstrate artistic skill, leadership, and a commitment to personal growth.

- Must submit an essay and portfolio (digital or physical samples accepted).

- Eligible students may be awarded this scholarship multiple years during their undergraduate program if they reapply each year and continue to meet all requirements.

Application Requirements:

1. Completed application form (online or printable).

2. Personal essay describing your artistic journey, inspirations, and goals (500–750 words).

3. Portfolio of recent work (maximum 10 pieces or 5 minutes of performance video).

4. One letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or community leader.
